Competing, Award-Winning Professional Photographic Artists

These are the most costly to retain. Obviously, they’re worth a larger investment if you’re wanting the best of the best. (Average investment: $800+ an hour)

Professional Photographers

This level will produce good results and use professional grade equipment. (Average $500 an hour)

Semi-Professional

Usually use good quality equipment, often shoot on a free-lance basis—are not full time. (Average $100-200 an hour)

Serious Amateurs

This level would be a step up from a family member who “just loves to take pictures.” Serious Amateurs lack the experience, equipment & technical knowledge and creativity of an artist. However, their photography is just fine for many couples. (Average $50-100 an hour)
